Someone posted that Jesus didn't say to follow Christians He said to follow Him. That is partly true and I will tell you why. Even though we don't worship man, we need someone to look up to, to learn from. Jesus said to make disciples, that means there must be people that teach others. Teaching them, they are following the person teaching, (not worshiping them just following) as they are following Jesus. If that person is really following Jesus than you must following the person that is ahead of you correct? Paul said in
1 Corinthians 11:1King James Version (KJV) 11 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
A person that claims to be in ministry and doesn't have some kind of person they look up to for guidance and help is a wild stallion that only causes harm to others and the cause they are trying to help. They get angry easily and lash out in a rage. They don't listen to the ones that are over them because it's about them and what they want. They can also be called a lone wolf. They are for others as long as they get what they want. If you are truly following Jesus you are behind the ones that are ahead of you never forget that. You don't worship people, you only Jesus but you listen to the ones that He sets in leadership if you are truly following Him. If you don't, than maybe you aren't following the Jesus of the bible but the Jesus of your own creation. If you don't learn from others and have people that teach you, you often end up being a cult leader and false prophet. Do you want to do God's plan or your own?
