There is a lot of debating going on in the world now and arguments. It’s been going on since the beginning of the church and even time. The bible is clear about debating though. There is no winning with debating. Both side walk away thinking they won. No one persuades the other to their side. Stay clear of debating. Run from it because it will only cause strife with other around you. Especially on Social Media Sites.

The bible even says to get away from those who cause divisions about you and get away from them. Paul puts so much an emphasis on that than it’s really important to stay away from, isn’t it?

But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
— Titus 3:9
3 As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

4 Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
— 1 Timothy 1:3-11
14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
— 2 Timothy 2:14
16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.
— 2 Timothy 2:16
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
— 2 Timothy 2:23
From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
— James 4:1
17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
— Romans 16:17-18
